You have probably heard of the Large Hadron Particle Collider, which they plan to activate in the next month or so. I have an issue with this. I mean, ok most scientists say it isn't going to cause a black hole that will suck the whole freakin earth into it... but a couple say it could. So I am thinking... why risk it? Is it really necessary to prove that gravity is strong over a short distance? Or what black holes are made of, or what-freaking-ever it is that they think is so important to know? From what I understand, being sucked into a black hole would, well, suck. So maybe we could just leave the whole particle collision nonsense alone.
